Prevent machinery safety guards from opening before a hazardous condition has cleared with this solenoid interlock switch from Schmersal. You can mount it in any position using its screw terminals for flexible, secure installation. This unit offers a high holding force of 2,000N (newtons) and a latching force of 30N for use in high-powered applications. Double insulation provides enhanced protection against electrical hazards, while the thermoplastic housing offers resistance to impact, corrosion and chemicals for use in demanding environments.

In addition to an emergency release, this switch also provides a manual release for better control and safety. Simply turn the triangle located on the side of the switch to put the latching bolt into the unlocked position. Secure the release by repositioning the enclosed plastic cap. The triangle must be returned to its original position for the normal solenoid locking function to resume.
